West to Paphos for two nights — the UNESCO Paphos Archaeological Park (Tombs of the Kings, House of Dionysos mosaics, House of Aion mosaics), Aphrodite”s Rock (Petra tou Romiou, the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite), Sanctuary of Aphrodite at Kouklia, Adonis Baths waterfalls, the harbour castle. North into the Troodos Mountains for one night — the painted Byzantine churches UNESCO (10 small churches in the hills, 11th-15th century frescoes), Kykkos Monastery (the wealthiest in Cyprus, 1100 AD), Mount Olympus (1,952 m, the highest peak), Cyprus Wine Museum at Erimi. East to Nicosia for one final night — the last divided capital in Europe, the Ledra Street Green Line crossing on foot into Turkish-Cypriot North Nicosia, the Cyprus Museum, Faneromeni Square Old Town, before the drive back to Larnaca for the long flight home.

Out of Hong Kong on a Friday night, Larnaca by Saturday morning via Doha or Dubai — Qatar or Emirates, fifteen hours total. Six nights ahead through Cyprus — two in Limassol on the south coast for Kourion ancient Greek city and the Limassol Castle, two in Paphos for the UNESCO Tombs of the Kings and the Aphrodite''s Rock birthplace beach, one up in Troodos Mountains for the painted Byzantine churches (UNESCO) and Mount Olympus, one final night in Nicosia, the last divided capital in Europe (Greek-Cypriot south + Turkish-Cypriot north divided by the Green Line since 1974). April is the cusp — daytime 22 °C, sea 19 °C (cold for swim but bearable), the Troodos wildflowers at peak, the orange blossom over the southern coastal towns, and the Aphrodite-Festival opera season begins in April at Kourion.

Final lunch at Piatsa Gourounaki taverna in Old Nicosia — grilled halloumi (the Cypriot squeak-cheese), meze plates of taramosalata + tzatziki + grilled octopus, a glass of Commandaria dessert wine. Drive to Larnaca, Qatar or Emirates east via Doha or Dubai to Hong Kong by next-day evening. Six nights — two in Limassol with Kourion, two in Paphos with the Tombs of the Kings, one in the Troodos painted churches, one in Nicosia across the Green Line. The colour of the Aphrodite's Rock at sunset already half-remembered.
